Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of NerveBase (operated by NerveBase, registered at 1012, Signature Business Park, Chembur, Mumbai 400071, India) during the Early Access phase. By creating an account, signing in via Google, or connecting a Google Drive, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Early Access

NerveBase is in Early Access. The service is provided free of charge during this phase. We may change, add, or remove features without notice while we iterate. If we make a material change to data handling or pricing, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days in advance.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activity under your account. Don't share your login.
• One person, one account. Workspaces may have multiple members, but each individual user should have their own login.
• You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to bind your organisation if you connect a Drive owned by your organisation.

3. Acceptable use

• Use NerveBase only for documents you have the right to process.
• Don't connect a Google Drive belonging to someone who hasn't authorised you to do so.
• Don't use NerveBase to process unlawful content (CSAM, malware, etc.).
• Don't attempt to extract data about other users or tenants.
• Don't reverse-engineer, probe, stress-test, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls.
• Don't use the service to build a competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where possible we'll warn you first; if the violation is severe (e.g. abuse, illegal content), we may act immediately.

4. Google Drive integration

When you connect a Drive, you grant NerveBase the OAuth scopes the Google consent screen displays. Today that's identity scopes (openid, email) plus a Drive scope (drive.file during the verification test phase, drive.readonly post-verification). We use these scopes only to read PDFs from the specific folders you designate. We do not modify, share, move, or delete your Drive files.

You can revoke access at any time from Settings → Sources → Disconnect, or directly from your Google Account permissions page.

NerveBase's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See our Privacy Policy 2 for the verbatim disclosure.

5. Data ownership

You own your documents and the data extracted from them. NerveBase claims no ownership of your content. We process it only to provide the service to you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to do so for the duration of your account.

6. AI extraction disclosure

NerveBase uses Azure OpenAI under a zero-retention agreement to extract structured fields from your documents. Prompts and responses are not retained, logged, or used to train any general-purpose AI model. Outputs may contain errors (the model is a probabilistic system); we flag any document with model-self-assessed confidence below the threshold you configure (default 0.85) as "needs review". You should verify financially or legally consequential outputs before acting on them.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99% monthly uptime during Early Access but make no formal SLA. We may schedule maintenance windows; where reasonable we'll announce them in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by upstream providers (Google, Azure, Supabase).

8. Liability

NerveBase is provided "as is" during Early Access. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Keep your own backups of important documents.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is processed within 30 days. You can also deactivate (Settings → Account → Deactivate) to pause folder-watching without losing data; reactivate by signing in.

We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms. We'll notify you if we do, except where notification would compromise security, violate law, or relate to an active abuse investigation.

10. Changes to these terms

We'll email all account holders at least 30 days before any material change. Non-material clarifications (typos, contact updates) may be made without notice; we keep an effective-date stamp at the top of this page.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Mumbai. If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
